Gulliver's Valley

As well as rides and attractions, the Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts chain also offer themed accommodation.

Gulliver’s came to us in 2019 as they wanted a solution for accommodation at their Sheffield resort, Gulliver’s Valley. The theme was fairy-tale and the final design required 10 containers to create a hotel that looked like a castle.

At Cleveland Containers, we have come up with a number of different solutions for bespoke builds with containers. Walking into the castle you wouldn’t know you were inside 10 shipping containers!

We chose to use converted shipping containers as the speed of construction met our needs as we wanted to move quickly. We chose to come to Cleveland Containers because of our good working relationship and dealing with the offices was great.

In the castle, there are 8 suites: 4 princess suites and 4 unicorn suites. There is 1 suite per container, and each one sleeps 2 adults and 3 children, with a bathroom and French doors leading to a patio area.

Gulliver’s have successfully introduced environmentally friendly ideas to the site, such as using rainwater to flush toilets, and converting used shipping containers for accommodation rather than using new building materials.
