Cleveland Containers Named Teesside Company of the Year

The event, which took place at Middlesbrough College on 23rd June, celebrated the talent, achievements and growth of businesses within the Tees Valley region. 

The first award we were shortlisted for was High Growth & Ambition, which was won by aluminium fabricator Made For Trade. Our congratulations go to them and the other finalist Host and Stay.

Throughout the rest of the evening, the Cleveland team waited with bated breath to hear the results of the final award, Company of the Year. With tough competition in fellow finalists Great North Air Ambulance Service, Made For Trade and Razorblue, we were overwhelmed with shock and excitement when we were revealed as the winner.

The win follows another record-breaking year for Cleveland Containers in which revenue grew 65% to £60 million and the workforce increased by 28%.

This is our first ever award win and I am unbeliveably proud of the entire team for their hard work in helping us achieve this accolade. To have our efforts recognised as an innovative company that champions its people is truly special. It’s a great time to be a growing business in Teesside and we have some exciting opportunities on the horizon that serve to strengthen our current position as the UK’s leading shipping container supplier.

We will now go head-to-head with the winners of the other two heats - Newcastle Building Society and eQuality Solutions - at the overall finals of the North East Business Awards in September.
