Cleveland Earns Second RoSPA Gold Award

RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) is the leading voice in health and safety that recognises and awards organisations in various industries for excellent health and safety management.  

The efforts of our team have been the key component as to why we have achieved this outstanding recognition once again. Our employees' commitment to upholding our standards and looking out for one another across the organisation, has led to the exceptional level of safety and well-being at Cleveland.

I’m proud and delighted for our Cleveland team to be awarded ROSPA Gold for the second year in a row.

It recognises our incredible journey and affirms our people led safety culture, supported by our continual investment in pro-active safety management and accident prevention. This proudly culminates in our industry leading metrics and service, aligning perfectly with our customers expectations.

The esteemed RoSPA Awards program now celebrates its 68th year as the UK’s largest and most impactful health and safety programme. With almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, impacting over seven million employees, they offer a platform to spotlight an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety.

I’m both personally and professionally proud that Cleveland has gained a RoSPA Gold Award for 2023, and for the second consecutive year since joining RoSPA.

Gaining this award initially was a great achievement for the Cleveland SHEQ team and our wider colleagues, as it was a true reflection of the hard work that was put in by all involved. 

The ownership that our employees have demonstrated on the company value ‘We All Own Safety’ and the focus on a positive behavioural safety culture, enabled us to achieve this award again and exceed targets set for 2023. I would personally like to thank everyone in Cleveland Group for making our company a truly amazing, positive and safe place to work for all of us.
