We are delighted to have officially gained our UKAS accredited ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards, proving that we operate at the highest international standard in Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety respectively.
ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is an independent, non-governmental international organisation that develops criteria to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of products, services and systems are completed to the highest of standards.
Achieving these credentials demonstrates that we provide the best customer service and products, whilst keeping our people and the environment safe during our daily operations.
Since July, our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) team formed of Paul Kell, Health and Safety Manager, and Lisa Rhatigan, SHEQ Administrator, have worked hard to also achieve a number of other accolades.
Earlier this year, we gained our Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation, becoming professional members of Alcumus SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) and joining its database. This assures potential customers searching for a supplier that we have passed an audit process that proves we are a safe, stable, and ethical business to work with.
As a professional member of the MPBA (Modular Portable Building Association), we accept all the responsibilities of conduct, quality, and service. The MPBA not only focuses on health and safety but is also a community where the common and unusual challenges affecting all members are discussed with the view of improving the industry.
All these accreditations, awards and professional memberships are vitally important to us as they prove that our people, systems, and processes are operating at the highest possible standard of health and safety. They also demonstrate that we deliver the best service to our customers, and that we are environmentally conscious and compliant in what we do.
The process has been fast paced and challenging but as a team everyone at Cleveland Containers has pulled together to achieve what we set out to do and within the short timeframe. I personally couldn't be prouder of myself, and the team involved and would like to thank all my colleagues for having that 'Cleveland Can' attitude and making me feel welcome every day since joining the business back in July.

As a full member of RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents), we support their mission to save lives and reduce injuries. RoSPA focuses on improving workplace health and safety across all industries and rewards those operating to the highest standards through their awards process and ceremonies. We are currently working on the RoSPA Health and Safety award submission for 2022.
The qualifications and memberships gained in recent months confirm our commitment to our employees, customers, and the industry, and serve to strengthen our industry leading health and safety record.
We are currently working towards gaining additional accreditations and memberships in 2023.
