Four Award Nomination Nods for Young Cleveland Individuals

Following the successful launch of their sell-out North West Young Professional Awards, Insider Media have launched the North East equivalent this year.  The North East Young Professionals Awards, recognise leading professionals aged 35 and under from a variety of industries across the North East.

We’ve been shortlisted for a huge four awards this year;

• Young Accountant of the Year - an award celebrating the excellence within finance, in either professional practices or in house. 
• Young Apprentice of the Year - an award dedicated to the apprentices who have shown the greatest achievement and contribution to their employer and potential.
• Young Marketing and Media Professional - an award celebrating the excellence within marketing and media, in either professional practices or in house. 
• Young Professional Team of the Year - an award that champions a team of young people in any business department that has demonstrated exceptional teamwork.

After winning North East Accountant of the Year at the North East Accountancy Awards, Matthew Hawkins, our Financial Controller, has been named as a finalist in the Young Accountant of the Year.

I am proud to represent the finance department once again. Since joining Cleveland Containers, the support I have received has been unwavering and I look forward to the finals.

Our marketing team have been proudly shortlisted for the final three awards including the Young Professional Team of the Year. Lewis Pennicott, our Marketing Director received a nomination for the Young Marketing and Media Professional award. Lucy Bell, our Digital Marketing Apprentice, is a finalist in the Young Apprentice of the Year. 

When I joined Cleveland Containers, the marketing team was a one man band - just me, and seven years later we are a united team of four. As the business has grown, the marketing department remains a vital part of the business, working cohesively with the other departments to strengthen the Cleveland Containers brand. 

Although she only joined the team this year, our digital marketing apprentice Lucy has hit the ground running. Monitoring our busy live chat, running our social media and updating our website, all whilst studying. 

And finally, to be nominated for the Young Marketing and Media Professional award is a proud moment for me. Since joining Cleveland Containers in 2015, Jonathan and Jane have championed my development within the company from a one man marketing team, to becoming Marketing Director. My tenacity to strive for excellence is the driving force behind everything I do and I am honoured to have my hard work recognised amongst my peers.

Our CEO Johnathan Bulmer discusses his pride following further positive awards news for the company.

To have our hard work recognised once again is amazing. So far this year we’ve been named North East Company of the Year, won two other awards, and we’re nominated for a further 12, including five national awards! 2022 has been an incredible year for us with great award news, another record breaking year and the investment from LDC, there is no stopping us now!
